With the release of REDDCYPT 2.2, the first version of the partner portal has also been published. In this article, we explain the individual functions in detail.

Log in to the partner portal

You can reach the partner portal at https://partner.reddcrypt.com.

For the partner portal, please use the same access data that you use for your personal REDDCRYPT account. Please note that you must be a member of an organization and have the appropriate permissions to register as a partner. If this is not the case, one of the following two error messages will appear.

Error: Your account does not yet have an organization

If you are not currently in an organization, the following error message will appear.

In this case, please log in at https://app.reddcrypt.com and create a new account at

Settings > My organization

an organization.

Error: You do not have the necessary authorization to view this page

To be able to request the partner status, you must have either the “Administrator” role or the “Request partner status” authorization within your REDDCRYPT organization. Please ask your administrator about this.

You can also find information on authorizations at https://www.reddcrypt.com/knowledge-base/berechtigungen-fuer-mitglieder-der-eigenen-organisation/

Request partner status

If you are a member of an organization and register, a registration form will appear – provided you are not yet a partner of ours.

After you have filled out the form, our sales team will promptly check your request.

Menu items of the partner portal

Below you will find a description of the functions hidden behind the individual menu items.

Dashboard

The dashboard is the start screen after you log in. Here you can see the most important information about your company at a glance.

  • Your customers: Number of customers who have selected you as a partner
  • Open invitations: Number of customers you have invited but who have not yet registered
  • Active customers: Number of customers who have a paid REDDCRYPT license in use
  • Customers in the test phase: Number of customers currently using a test license of REDDCRYPT
  • Total commission: Sum of all commissions you have earned with REDDCRYPT
  • Commission paid: the amount of commission we have already paid you
  • Open commission: amount of commission that has not yet been paid out

My customers

Here you can see an overview of all the organizations that have selected you as a partner.

You can invite new customers to create a REDDCRYPT account using the Create organization button.

After submitting the form, the customer receives an e-mail with a registration link. If the customer registers via this link, you will automatically be added as a partner. If they do not register via this link, they can add you as a partner manually at any time in their organization settings.

Management session – making settings for the customer

In the customer overview, each customer has a button on the far right that can be used to start the management session.

Click on the button to open the management session in a new tab. You can now make settings for the customer’s organization.

Management Session – Why can’t I set anything?

As the encryption of emails is a very sensitive issue, we believe that your customer should decide what they want to hand over and which settings they want to make themselves.

If the customer has registered via your invitation link, they will be linked to you, but initially without the authorization to make settings for them. The management session then looks like this:

In this case, the customer must still grant you authorization to make the settings for them. The customer can find these settings in the web app(https://app.reddcrypt.com) under

Settings -> My organization -> My service provider

A dialog with all available authorizations then opens. In the following example, you are allowed to carry out the entire administration of the organization, but not order any licences for the customer.

Affiliate

If you would like to advertise REDDCRYPT on your website or in a newsletter, for example, you can use the affiliate link. If someone registers via your link, you will automatically receive a commission if they purchase a paid license.

You can generate the link in the Affiliate menu item.

In addition to sending the link, you can also use the Recommend function in the REDDCRYPT Web App. If your organization has an affiliate link, this is automatically inserted in the function.

Important: You will not see customers who register via your affiliate link in your customer overview. There you will “only” see customers who have selected you as a partner and who you are therefore allowed to manage.

Commission

This table provides you with an overview of all transactions for which you are entitled to commission.

The Type column describes the way in which the customer’s organization was created:

  • Self: The customer has registered independently, but selected you as a partner before placing the first order
  • Affiliate: The customer has registered via your affiliate link and ordered a paid license
  • Partner: The customer has registered via your invitation link created under My customers and ordered a paid license

Give your own employees access to the partner portal

Of course, you can also give your colleagues access to the partner portal. You assign the authorization for this in the organizational settings at https://app.reddcrypt.com. You can find this under

Settings -> Members

You can also assign permissions to the individual users of your organization there.

On the one hand, you can give employees permissions for their own organization. There is also the Partner authorization group, which currently consists of three possible authorizations:

  • Manage customers: The employee only sees the menu item My customers and can start the management session
  • Create organizations for customers: The employee also sees the Create organization button and can use it to invite customers
  • Manage partner portal: The employee is given full access to the portal and can therefore also see the dashboard, affiliate and commission menu items
