With the release 2.1 of March 30, 2020, the validation of own domains was integrated into REDDCRYPT Business. The background to this function is that employees were previously able to register without the company being aware of this.
In addition to this fact, this means above all that employees can continue to send and receive emails with their REDDCRYPT account, even if they are no longer working for the company.
With the introduction of trusted domains , this is a thing of the past. From now on, the control of all accounts is 100% in the hands of the company.
How to validate your domain(s)
Validating your own domain is done in just a few steps. The only requirement is the ability to make settings for your own domain in the DNS, specifically a TXT entry must be created. As an administrator, you can find out what you need to enter there under
Settings -> My organization -> My domains

After you have made the TXT entry, please click on the “Add domain” button and enter your domain without www.
If the domain could not be validated, the TXT entry is incorrect or you may have made a typing error when entering the domain.

If you have set the TXT entry for your domain correctly, the domain will appear at the bottom of the list.

If there are already users with a REDDCRYPT account for your domain, they will now be displayed in the “Pending” menu item.
Existing REDDCRYPT users
All users of your domain who already have a REDDCRYPT account are listed in the “My domains -> Pending” list. If you do not have enough free licenses to add all users, you will find information on this above the list. If this is not the case, you have enough free licenses.

Users with a green tick are users that you can add to your organization immediately. Users marked in red cannot be added to your organization because they are currently members of another organization. Please contact these users if you would like to add them.
Users who register in the future
If your employees register with REDDCRYPT in the future, there are two possible scenarios.
Procedure if your company has free licenses
If you have free licences and an employee registers with your domain, it is automatically assigned to your organization. This is extremely convenient for the user, as they do not notice anything, do not have to intervene manually and can start encrypting and decrypting their emails immediately.
At the same time, the automation ensures that the company has full control over the email account.
Procedure if your company does not have free licenses
If a user registers and your company does not currently have any free licenses, the user’s registration will be completed, but they will not yet be able to log in and will be notified accordingly.

The organization’s administrators then receive an email informing them which user has registered and that further licenses are required if this user wishes to use the system.
Under
Settings -> My organization -> Members -> Pending
you will find a list of all users who have registered and cannot yet use REDDCRYPT due to a missing license. Here you now have three options on how to deal with the registration.

Assign license
After you have selected
Settings -> License -> Overview
If you have purchased an additional license, you can assign it to a user here.
Delete user
If you do not want the user to use REDDCRYPT, you can delete the account using this function.
Do not add users
With this function, the user is not assigned to their own organization and the account is converted into a free REDDCRYPT account. This allows the user to use REDDCRYPT via the free web app. It can also be assigned to another organization.
