After registering, you can install the REDDCRYPT Outlook plugin, which allows you to encrypt and decrypt emails directly in your Outlook. With just one click on the "Encrypt" button, your message is sent securely encrypted.
If you do not use Outlook, REDDCRYPT offers further options for encrypting emails: You can use the desktop app, the mobile app or conveniently the web browser.
User option without a REDDCRYPT account
The recipient does not have a REDDCRYPT account? No problem! The special feature of REDDCRYPT is that you can always encrypt!
If the recipient already has a REDDCRYPT account, encryption takes place automatically in the background. If the recipient does not have an account, simply encrypt the email with a passphrase.
The email can then be read and replied to conveniently via the web browser on any device (e.g. smartphone) by entering the passphrase.
Receive notification
The recipient receives an email notification to their regular email address. This contains a note that an encrypted message has been received.
No prior REDDCRYPT account is required, which means that anyone, regardless of technical experience, can access the secure message. This ensures a barrier-free experience and promotes acceptance on the part of the recipient.
Open message with one click
By simply clicking on the link in the email, the recipient is taken directly to the secure REDDCRYPT website, where they can decrypt the message after entering the passphrase.
If the recipient also has a free REDDCRYPT account, they can read the message in their account without using a passphrase.
And if the recipient also uses Microsoft Outlook, the email can be decrypted directly in Outlook with one click without having to leave the familiar environment.
